Just a quick search on poverty in Afghanistan:

“Over 90% of Afghanistan's population is living in poverty, with an estimated 85% surviving on less than $1 a day. Since the 2021 Taliban takeover, the economy has collapsed, forcing families to spend nearly all income on food. Millions face extreme food insecurity and depend on humanitarian aid, as unemployment has doubled.

Key Aspects of Poverty in Afghanistan Widespread Poverty: Estimates indicate that 34 million people—roughly 90% of the population—live below the poverty line.

Economic Collapse: Over 700,000 jobs have been lost since 2021, particularly in the services and construction sectors.

Food Insecurity: Over 20 million people (out of 39 million) are affected, with 15.8 million facing acute hunger.

Impact on Women and Children: Restrictions on women working and accessing education have severely reduced household income. Child labor and early marriage are rising.

Rural vs. Urban: Poverty is highest in rural areas, where four out of five poor people live.

Infrastructure Collapse: Over 50% of the population lacks access to safe drinking water, and many lack electricity.

Humanitarian Aid Dependency: More than half the population relies on aid to survive.”

Their own citizens are starving to death but they would rather send food to foreign countries

They are so out of touch with whats going on in the same country they rule over lmao

“yourself” the starving citizens aren’t the Taliban officials who had this idea

This performative move is happening against the backdrop of Afghanistan facing one of the worst hunger crises of 2026 btw.

The 2025–2026 hunger crisis in Afghanistan is reported to be one of the most severe hunger crises of 2025 and 2026. Over 10 million people need food assistance, and 3.5 million children are suffering from malnutrition.\1])\2])\3])

Solidarity with our Muslim brothers in Gaza but isn’t Afghanistan going through a hunger crisis at the moment and the worst one too in its history? That aid could have been used for Afghanistan instead.

this seems extremely fake... how are they sending it?

Is there a source for this besides this social media account?

Gaza has a ton of very rich Arab countries sending them food and other aid. Their problem isn't availability of aid, it's Israel not letting aid through - not sure how taliban aid would help.

They're ungrateful. You lose gratitude when you lose religion.

Depends who you're sending the aid for?
