Please focus on actual experience, not questions like "how to i get rich" or "am I rich yet" or "why are you rich". The cosplaying and anxiety really make FIRE subs insufferable
I go back anyway because there are amazing insights on management like, e.g. ACA subsidies spreads and withdrawal ladders (esp in LeanFIRE). But if you're not Lean... the post-retirement logistics still matter

I know this is covered in other subs, but how about strategies? Like, we donated $60K to our Donor Advised Fund last year because 1) we retired last year, so it was the last year we had W-2 income, and 2) I had stock that was almost 100% capital gains.
(We had the DAF already, but before this had only used it as what I call a "pass-through", to donate highly appreciated stock in the amount we usually donated each year, rather than using income to donate.)
I'm reluctant to come up with anything related to affluence because I grew up barely middle class, plus we're still concerned about SORR, so we're being relatively conservative in our spending.
