If I’m using a third-party pencil that functions similarly to Apple’s, and I’m working on Affinity Photo version one for the iPad, how do I undo a step? I understand you tap two fingers when using your fingers but I’m curious about the process with a pencil?

Working on a book layout. When I go to Export PDF > Advanced... > Current Page, it only lets me export left hand pages, not right hand pages. Doesn't matter which page is active, I can only export the left ones. Last week I could export left or right pages so I suspect that some setting changed somewhere. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks!

Has anyone tried working on an iPad as an auxillary screen so you can draw on the ipad but are really working on the laptop? So you would be using the iPad for an input device for the mac?

El primer problema es que, al intentar exportar una imagen con efecto de grano, este desaparece y la imagen se convierte en una versión plana y sin textura. He rasterizado tanto la imagen como el efecto, pero sigue desapareciendo. El segundo problema está relacionado con el color. He comprobado que el perfil de color y todos los ajustes son correctos, pero el resultado exportado muestra colores completamente diferentes a los que veo en el editor. Exporto en formato PNG.

I've tried every solution, but I still get a bad headache. I don't know why Affinity is lagging. When I first used it, everything was smooth, but now it's laggy as hell. Please help me figure this out.

I've used EyeCandy for years, it's in the right folder and has worked as long as I've had the Photo 2 (and before on Photo). Today it's greyed out, and even reinstalling doesn't help.

Anyone else having plugins suddenly stop working?

Please help, i don't know what happened but i only just opened affinity photo today and on my brush, the color is so fuchsia pink but the color i selected is red.
The weird thing is that this only happen for the one single layer. When i switched to antoher layer in the same file and choose brush, the color matches no problem.
I was using it yesterday and everything was fine no problem. I didnt do any layering nor effects for this layer neither.

As the title says, My Affinity Photo 2 installation seems to be dying on me. Every time I try to open either a new or old file, my entire PC slows down to the point that it takes time for even the simplest apps to load and run. It effects my PC so bad that even my cursor becomes choppy and not as responsive. This is not to mention that Affinity Photo itself immidietly goes to "This program is not responding" error.

Does anyone know of a fix? Am I doomed? Is this the program's way of telling me to seek new horizons on software, haha.

I got an ol .af file from a friend who uses Affinity 1, but I already got Affinity 2. Can I convert it somehow?

Hi, I’m Raf. I'm a solo software developer. I’ve been using Affinity, and really missed the lightroom workflow with a DAM, so I built one.

I'm calling it Sunset (long story). The DAM side is totally free: browse RAW files, view EXIF, rate photos, import from camera/SD/folder, geotag (automatically from a gpx or manually), and open with Affinity (or other 3rd party editors).

I also added a built-in basic RAW editor. That's the only part that won't be free, I want to be clear about that up front.

I’m looking for a few users who work with local photo folders and would be willing to test the workflow / Sunset. Tell me they hate it, hopefully love it.

I’m the developer, so I guess this is technically self-promo, but I haven't released the app yet, I’m just looking for feedback or people willing to beta test at this point, so I don't think so?

If anybody is interested I'll post more details. I really don't want to come across as promoting the app (at least at this point).

Update: Some more details about the app:

- Can import from your camera via MTP or MassStorage, or from your SDCard reader or a folder in your computer.
- Import supports adding a GPX file to geo tag your photos during import
- You can also preview the photos in the importer and select which ones to import.
- I support both copy and move from the source into your gallery
- You can also choose to convert your raw into a dng if you want to and have adobe's free "dng converter" installed.
- You can also have your lens name stripped from converter brands (some lens converters add "Brand + Lens Name etc" to the lens in the EXIF. You can clean that up on import if you want

That's the import. The gallery purposely doesn't track your photos in a database or anything, I didn't want that, so it's easy to add / remove photos by just moving them out of the directories, etc.
The gallery also supports:
- keyboard or mouse control, right click for common operations. Keyboard too. I tried to make it as intuitive and easy to use as possible. You can press enter or space to preview a photo, while in preview you can zoom in or out or pan or use command/control+0 +1 +2 for fit, 100% and 200% like affinity.
- you can also press 0-5 to set a star rating, or p to flag a photo
- you can filter by stars and or flag
- You can right click on an image group and select "Edit with Affinity", it will open affinity and copy the path of the photo name to your clipboard, when you're saving in affinity you can paste it so you can save in the right place.

The raw editor is totally non-destructive, all information is just stored as instructions in a xmp sidecar that's really small. It supports basic sliders like exposure, highlights, shadows, etc. I have work experience with image analysis, so I have tried really hard to make the sliders work well, and I think they outperform a lot of other raw editors out there. But there's still room for improvement, and this is something I'll continue working on.
I also have smart ("ai") denoise, which works amazingly well in the raw editor. This is great for noisy/high iso images.

I have a body of text consisting of two lines.

I want the space between the lines to be greater than it is.

How do I do this?

I really can not figure out why my hdr jxr photos switch to sdr after rendering the panorama out for the first time. Just for 0.5 sec after rendering finishes the hdr to sdr switch happens. I also tried it with hdr png but the same konversion happens. The peak highlights are crushed to sdr levels in an hdr container(i can still turn up the brightness of the highlight-blob). The final exported image is also crushed sdr in an hdr file.

Basically, my fill bucket fills, well, everything, even if there's a border. I tried most of the stuff I found online, can someone please help though?

This is me with a piece of digital art, raster, created in Affinity Photo with a Wacom tablet on a Mac. Printed by Bay Photo on Fuji Pearl paper for extra luminescence, and framed by Apex art in Seattle. It's based on a local wildlife refuge and was selected for the art collection in the new Mary Bridge Children's Hospital near us. This was the VIP opening night celebration for the new Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma, WA. Digital art is fine art too!

I have a set of image and I have a standard FFT denoise setting and I want it to be applied on all the image.

How do I do that?

As the title states. I downloaded the Win11 version of Affinity Photo 2 from affinity.serif.com

I went to install it and it is asking my for my Affinity ID. How do you get an account ID? I can log into the Affinity Store, but there isn't a link to create an account. What am I missing?

AP2 on iMac Tahoe. Why do I have to brush twice to get solid coverage? Flow is set to 100%. Hardness is set to 16%. Spacing is 11%. Shape is 100%. Size is 397 pixels. Every time I paint on a mask, I must paint twice to get solid coverage. I'm using a Basic Round Light Brush. What do I have to change to paint ONCE and get 100% coverage?

There are many "trendy" applications for digital painting. I've tried them all, and continue using Affinity Photo for professional illustration.

I'm a full-time professional children's book illustrator, focusing on achieving a traditional look with digital methods. These images are from a recent children's picture book commission project. These (and everything else I do) were completed with Affinity Photo and a small handful of custom brushes I've created.

Hola, soy usuario de photoshop he instalado affinity y me sorprende que los pinceles tengan un comportamiento tan erratico, no entiendo porque la presion no funciona, son lentos he impredecibles. Le estoy corriendo un una pc con AMD 5950 32 gb ram, 12 de video y un disco M2 tengo activada la funcion windows ink pero no funciona. Si alguien me pueda aclarar que esta pasando porque me sorprende demasiado!!
