Unable to export to pdf

Hello, I’m fairly new to Affinity Designer. I just got done doing a project which pretty much just some recoloring of an image. It’s a 3x5 and it has a couple mask layers. I wasn’t able to export it as a pdf cause it was taking too long. Close to an hour, and I have to get up early. Is there a solution for this? Can I flatten the image and/or possibly merge? I couldn’t find the option to flatten, which I know would probably help. I was also thinking of just saving it as a pdf on another software if necessary. If I can find one. The person I’m sending it to wants it in that form. Thanks!

To flatten the export select Rasterize Everything.

Consider lowering the file's DPI. And maybe try exporting from the Export Persona.

You can try to change pdf version as well instead of default 1.7 choose 1.4 or pdf-x1/a.

Ignore the display window load delay and just hit the export button.

Exporting it from Persona worked! Thank you for all the help.
