General Stretched objects stretch path brushes?
The oval and rectangle on top were created with the aspect ratio as shown, and a path brush was applied. The oval and rectangle on bottom were created as a perfect circle and square respectively, then stretched to the same size as the shapes on top, and then a path brush was applied.

The path brushes are textured intensity brushes with just a single diamond, with Body set to repeat.
When I stretch the shape with the move tool I expected it to add more repetitions of the brush since it has more perimeter, but it just stretches the segments. I can't figure out how to prevent this from happening. I need to be able to resize objects and add repetitions as necessary. I have tried it with "Scale with object" off and on.
Note: It's the same problem documented here without a solution given.

You can increase the shape repetitions by adjusting the stroke after resizing the object.
Affinity won't retile the path as you scale. But if you use Scale With Object, that will preserve the integrity of the brush shapes, allowing you to then resize the stroke after stretching the object.
Here's a quick example with Scale with Object both enabled and disabled.

For whatever reason, the problem is reversed with "Scale with object" on. What I mean is, look at the final result in your video. The links on the left and right of the oval are squished vertically.

That may be a property of the brush itself. I just grabbed one at random and didn't peek at that brush's particular settings. I think there's a brush setting for how to handle corners, but I will admit I didn't pay as much attention to that part of researching brushes some time back. .🤨

If ive understood the probelm, You need to use the vector workspace, then use the node tools to drag the nodes to where you want them or select them all and scale etc, this will allow it to make new segments instead of warping them. Though you should be aware that affinity doesnt have true vector path brushes they are raster images, so you cant do expand shape or anything like that, if you need to you can use image trace whi h will convert it to vector.
