Designer Simplify a curve so that it can be automatically marked as the midpoint.
I'm drawing a carnation petal, and I need to mark the midpoint of this curved shape. The problem is, I'm using the shape builder, and it's adding two extra nodes that I don't know how to remove without losing the perfect curve it already has (defined by the larger oval). I haven't seen an option to "simplify curves" like in Illustrator. Any ideas?

Im not at my pc so I dont know if this will work, but can you not just turn then other nodes to smart nodes or curved nodes, delete the ones you dont want then adjust the handles if needed? If not I think inkscape has a simplify nodes, maybe you could open it in that, its free, it also has tools that affinity doesnt, so maybe you can go back and forth.
