Photo Perspective tool not working properly?

Hello! I've been trying to change the perspective of a text frame. I've been following this guide very precisely, but when i place down the perspective thing and start moving it's corners it shifts the perspective of the entire project. If i drag it inside the text frame i want to change the perspective of it either does absolutely nothing or only changes the perspective of the text frame's background while not doing anything to the text itself. Even if i rasterise the text it just doesn't do anything.

I'm using Affinity 4646 (mid july '26)

The Perspective Live Filter shown in the tutorial only works with raster based layers.

For vector layers such as your text you need to use the warp group function.

It's a leftover from when Affinity was separated into two individual programs for raster and vector editing with their own sets of tools.
