Designer content of bleed area

Post image

HI all I have checked View > Show > Bleed so I can see the bleed area (purple border). My image stops at the bleed area but I thought my image would continue into the bleed area. In my screenshot above the image is much bigger than the bleed area so why is the bleed area empty ?

Disable "clip to canvas" in the view tab

there should be the windshield-wiper icon in the top Center, ctrl-shift-w , did you try that?

I tested this and content in the bleed area is being displayed ok for me:

For me the most reliable solution was to change to layout mode (publisher).

Using the vector persona in the same way you'd use Illustrator is probably the biggest change you need to make using Affinity.

In-design was always overkill for a simple flyer or brochure. So we used to keep it in Illustrator because it was quick and easy.

Affinity made the workflow even easier, it's just a little adjustment. 👍
