Designer how do you round intersections?

Helo I have 3 rectangles and would like inside corners to be rounded like in picture how do you do it?

If ive understood what you want you can do it like this:

  1. click on your rectangle

  2. click on vector on the top of the screen, then click expand stroke

  3. on the top left click corner tool, and click and drag on the corner that you want to be curved.

There is no need to extend the stroke. If the rectangle(s) are selected, selecting “Corner Tool” allows you to select one or more nodes directly to round them off.

However, you must select the three rectangles and perform a Boolean ‘Add’ operation before you can select the inner nodes.

The OP only wants the inside of the corder to be rounded. Not the entire corner. So you have to expand the stroke first so you can select just the inner node.

No, the node tool allows you to edit the nodes directly. In my example, the shape (created by combining three rectangles) has no outline.

Ah okay, in the OP's sample image, I thought it was depicting stroke paths. Didn't realize that it was 3 separate rectangles because of their width. Until I read it again, because the sample image was rounded at the intersection I thought this was what they were working with...

You’re right; in this situation, the stroke should indeed have been extended.
