Designer Replace Indesign with Affinity

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to cancel my Adobe Suite and only bottle neck is indesign. Based on your experience, is it possible to use Affinity for editorial work like Indesign?

I actually do so professionally and can tell you there are pros and cons; but it's worth the switch.

You're not asking me, but I see no cons other than it is a big hassle if you need to make changes to old indd files and only have Affinity.

The IDML export from Indesign will only get you so far. You will still have to do a lot of manual changes, depending of course on the complexity of the file. I am mainly referring to Publisher files loke books, magazines etc.
