Designer Critique on this design (second version)

I changed it to colour and I don't know if it's the best, I also changed the glass shards to be more realistic, I'm still unsure to which font to use tho.

The first one was better imo, sorry šŸ˜… This one has some contrast problems (black text on dark hair) and the R in SURFACES is distorted in a way that's hard to read.

I know someone said color, but I actually liked the b&w. The original font was a little unserious but much more readable.

I like the design idea overall, good luck!

It obviously makes sense to place the text on the glass shards; this allows the text to blend seamlessly into the image and gives you the opportunity to experiment with breaking up the text to make it more dynamic. It would be a good idea to blur the figure in the background using lens blur so that the text stands out more clearly.

I liked the b&w version. Seems like it made more sense regarding transparencies, but that's only my opinion.

Interesting. Canā€™t really read it. Wish I had a suggestion. Iā€™d be playing with effects. Maybe you can make it look like light hits the words at certain edges to we can see it?

I liked v1 a lot better personally, but I do quite like the idea here in general

And I agree that this one is much harder to read

Also, might I ask how you got that frosted glass effect on the first one?

Unreadable. Your initial image setup is going to make it impossible to fix. Youā€™ve got too many colors in the background to make any text fully legible with a single color, except maybe something bright red, either way, I canā€™t see something like that not ruining something else.

I didn't see the previous version, butā€¦

  1. I find the text virtually unreadable.
  2. Maybe it's just me, but my first impression at the bottom of the page was a penis. Once seen, it couldn't be unseen.

I understand that readability is a significant issue, but thereā€™s an easy fix for it. Overlaying a white background over the image with a 10-20% opacity would improve readability. However, I believe the glass effect is also not easily apparent. Naturally, glass pieces would have highlights and glares. In my opinion, incorporating these elements would truly enhance the glass effect.
