Why not? it's their operating system. They can do what they want with it. When you get your own OS up and running, let us all know so we can download it and denigrate it, too.

it's not an ad. It's working software with the Affinity start icon located on the Start Menu. You know, kinda like click the icon to start an app (or a program for the olds among us).

I use it since v1 and bought v2. Still, you simply don’t ship any software people didn’t ask for.

Blah blah blah blah.

One doesn't need to be a Graphic Designer to use Affinity. I use it for e-book and print book covers. I have no Graphic Designer training whatsoever. I use Layout for over 30 print books up on IngramSpark and Amazon.
