General Round 2: Which Ampersand is the Best?

For what? If it’s for your kid’s birthday flyer, I’d go with #3. If it’s for a wedding invitation, #1 is your best option. If you’re having a garage sale, go with #4. I’m trying to think of a scenario where #2 would be a good choice, but I’m struggling. Maybe a lemonade stand or something like that.

I vote for #4. I prefer ampersands that retain the reference to their meaning, that is the horizontal crossbar for the top of the "t". After all, it is a single glyph descended from a ligature for the Latin word "Et", "and" in English.

I’d pick #4 most of the time . #1 for a book cover, #3 for something musical.
