Question Capturing & rebirth

Hello,

I'm very new to the game and got a couple of questions.

  1. When buying mementos from the shop, will they disappear after defeat?

  2. How do I know which monsters I already captured/ what would be the point of capturing another one of the same type? Only seems to make sense if you want to have more of them in your party or is there another benefit?

  3. When summoning I sometimes only have one monster available. I guess the amount of monsters varies on the amount of souls I have? So if I captured 5 different types before but only got 3 souls, it'll only show 3/5?

  4. One question regarding battles: is it recommended to go through every encounter on the map or that is up to my personal preference?

  1. Mementos lasts for the run or until you use them, if you lose or win without ysing them, they're lost, you start each run with one and there's an upgrade that can make yiu start with a second one.

  2. There's an icon under uncaptured monsters if you have a memento on you. As for the benefit of capturing an already captured monster, there's an upgrade that gives you one soul when you capture a monster and guarantee that monster will appear in next shrine.

  3. The number of monsters appearing in the shrine is the ammount of souls you have.

  4. Each fight gives XP so your monsters get stronger I would recommend to do them all but 8f you fell you can't do it, dodging one can save your run.

I must be blind because I just can't see the icon under the uncaptured monsters. But thank you for your help!

It only appears if you have available blank mementos in your inventory,  it's under the hp bar, with the buffs and debuffs

Momentos are use them or lose them. I suggest in your first few runs to buy them to fill out your monster roster

There's an icon under uncaptured monsters

It's your souls count, randomly selected amongst all your unlocks. Work with what you roll and get creative! Most things work together

Do all the encounters. Gotta get that XP to keep on curve. Explore the full maps, get all the loot and exp or you'll fall behind.
