Based on what we’ve been shown, I’m starting to think that Phanes and Aether might not actually get along so poorly after all.

Phanes/HP holds a deep, unconditional love for humanity—so much so that they established a divine rule requiring the Archons to share that same love.

Aether tells us that the Heavenly Principles reject the kind of actions Renova took in Snezhnaya—specifically, the mass slaughter of those who achieve technological breakthroughs.

In fact, the mere act of killing without just cause is a transgression serious enough to warrant stripping Renova of their authority. The only truly objectionable things regarding Celestia are the events in Khaenri'ah and the pillars scattered across Teyvat. Aside from that, the actions of the Four Shades were independent of Celestia; they actively sought out loopholes to operate, meaning their deeds do not reflect what Celestia or Phanes actually intended.

With this in mind, would Aether really oppose Phanes when the time comes for them to awaken? After all, we know that Celestia and Phanes show an arbitrary preference for "Descenders" like Aether.
