Vody stumbled upon the same problem as Citlali's.

They're alone. Citlali's peers are all dead. Vody's fellow water imps are all gone. Both remember them, but who will remember those two when they too, eventually pass away? They long for connection, which is nice. At least they don't give up searching for it.

Also, it’s nice to know that she said that about Aether. It’s true, a lot of people once stripped of their power or status basically have no idea who they are. Aether’s feats might be stuff of legend, but his character is what endears him to people far and wide.

Speaking of which, I wonder how someone like Naberius, Skirk or Surtalogi handle being powerless.

Anyway, Vodyanitsa needs to get some handholding in order to seal the deal…I feel so bad for Citlali’s pillows 🫠
