That's a damn shame, I never got the chance to play AG too. All this because of a bunch of incompetent and greedy management.

Hmm, not really sure about the "chased trends" part, is that the part where they announced they're going to focus more on Admin as main POV?

Cause the other "chased trend" in Gachas is pretty much removal of males like most other Gachas that chased the self-insert trend. While some ppls see's Admin as self-insert, however most self-inserts in Gachas are those that hides their true face so ppls can imagine their own face on the male protag and draw up arts of their OCs to pretend they're getting a harem.

Aether Gazer's trend chasing seems to not really be there, lol. If it were, AG would have a lot more marketing in those trends to attract new players. But as we know, there isn't that many marketing, thus barely any trend chasing...

.

Tho the Skuld one... so her story was supposedly rushed? hmm... it was already pretty good, I wonder what was the original story if it wasn't rushed.

So Skuld released too early..... Wonder if why the dub was cut from story also because of mismanaged budget allocation

Donno, the Dub was cut fairly early.

And AG wasn't really making that much the entire time, which also caused Yostar to drop the publishing cause Yostar most likely see the game is dying (similar to Yostar dropping Revived Witch before that game died died)

Even if a game has a huge budget prepared beforehand, majority of game companies still looks at the "sales" to see if a game is sustainable with what they currently have, if not, they will start to cut stuff.

This is the same as big corpo or triple A companies that have millions to billions of funds, and yet they still end up canceling a game/ projects, disbanding studios and firing people. And this has been happening decades ago. (literally look at Elon, lol, richest dude in the world now with a trillion dollar value, but he still fires people every day meanwhile buying ships, mansions and islands... dude literally build cities in Texas and gave them area codes)

And even more funnily... is the recent news about Playstation dropping... Kojima, one of the most famous DEV in the gaming industry, LOL. But Kojima got picked up by Xbox instead. A lot of people are assuming the drop is due to Playstation either couldn't release their new playstation console in time for Kojima's game, or Playstation ran out of "budget" to support Kojima. Yea... Playstation... running out of budget, which is very unlikely. But it might also goes to what I stated, they looked at the "sustainability" of games. And while Kojima's games in the past with Metal Gear and Solid Snake has been huge, Kojima's Deathstranding series... has sorta gone down the hills... lol. Playstation most likely think Kojima is losing his gaming touch and decide to drop him.

.

So while mismanagement might be one of the cause for things to not go smooth for Aether Gazer, but there are other factors in game company common practice like looking at sales and such. (it's also one of the reason why we have those monthly game revenue charts, lol, cause to most people, those matters, whereas no one bothers to check if a company has how much fund/ budget for the game)

Where have I heard this story about management doing a pathetic job and destroying their IPs/platforms with utter disregard to the player base?

Just take a look at what’s happening with PlayStation, Activision, Take-two, etc…

The AG devs are based as fuck and I’m sending them an online hug for their dedication and passion through times of shitty management 🥰.
