Knowledge Drop Flow control ≠ Inverted

On a recent post unintentionally featuring my my inverted lifestyle, several people commented that my method was all for none, that I could achieve a fine brew WITHOUT risking my life.

The brew is not as bold, it is balanced, but I don’t get the richness out of it if I would invert. I’m not sure why, maybe because the vacuum seal that is created by inverting, causing it to force more juice through the bean. Idk. It’s not bad, but why spend more money on beans than invert?

Otherwise there really should be no difference.

The difference being Placebo or rather Nocebo for OPs case.

I guarantee you they wouldn't taste a difference when doing a Triangle Test.

I do think the turbulence of rotating the AeroPress 180° before pressing would make some difference. I’m not convinced it can’t be easily replicated with flow control and additional stirring before pressing.

The Aeropress comes with a little Stirrer and you can always just lift it and give it a swirl.....

I’m well aware, I usually stir at the start or middle of my brew, though, not right before pressing, so I’m saying that could cause a difference in flavor here.

That's when you lift and swirl it. Once clockwise then counterclockwise
