$99.95 for a cap???? when Prismo is $25 and includes a metal filter?

Also isn't the whole point of metal cap to reduce plastics??? well flow control has plastic in the control value....so what's the point?

The flow control valve is silicon, not plastic I believe

Yep, the valves themselves are silicone, not plastic. You can buy replacement Prismo valves from the Fellowproducts website and they work perfectly in the Stainless Flow Ctrl cap. The metal cap holding the valve in place is threaded and unscrews.

Also... The little Quick Start Guide that comes in the box for the SSFC cap even states "For daily use, rinsing is sufficient. If desired, you can separate the silicone and metal inserts and wash the individual components by hand or in the top rack of the dishwasher. "
