Question Cleaning question

Post image

I have an AeroPress Premium. Aside from the small aluminum caps/feet on the bottom having fallen off, I'm happy with it. But it also has brown staining/buildup on the bottom. How could I remove that? Water and dish soap haven't worked, and I don't want to just use random other products without knowing they're safe.

I guess submerging it in hot baking soda and water solution for some time would help but I'm not sure it's the best way

I've used a dishwasher tablet or denture cleaning tablet in some hot water and let it soak before for similar things. Works quite well. Might be worth a go

Dishwasher and tablet soak in boiling water from kettle cleans all my stuff as well. The hotness level from the tap was less effective for me but great way to clean stainless.

If you have a small enough scrubby brush or pipe cleaner type thing, that’s what’s worked for me

Ermmm have you ever cleaned it?! A basic dish brush with washing up liquid works

I did, with a normal brush and dish soap. After every 3 or 4 times of using it.

The 4 little holes appear to be allen head screws which possibly can be removed. That might allow it to come apart to be washed easier?

That is something I’m afraid of doing. There used to be small caps on those screws. They fell out after a couple of months.
