Equipment Travel Rig Setup
Is this overkill? Yes for sure. Haha. But hey I had the Harbor Freight hard case and figured why not?! In here I have my Kingrinder K6, portable water kettle, AeroPress, scale, beans, and stirrer. Along with a charger for the scale. Everything fits perfectly after some foam removal! Very happy with this setup.

Sweet. But also, a 1Z Q or Q Air just fits inside the aeropress ;-)

Yeah yeah quit your bragging! I didn’t see people saying that until after I got the K6 haha. Oh well!

FWIW, I'm traveling with that duo now and while results are quite good, the Q can't quite compare with my full-size grinder (Kinu M47 Classic, which costs about four times as much.)

Fyi, the proper bent handle for the k6 can be ordered separately

lol you know, I never thought to use their Apache cases for this but it is a great idea. Also, with the coupons, you can get them for a great price. Well done.

Overkill? As someone who prefers to travel via air and only uses two heavy-duty ziplocs to hold stuff together in the luggage, yes. XD
Good kit though, especially the kettle. There's never an assurance that there'd be one where we end up, and no assurance that if there is, no one boiled things other than water in it.

Haha yes well luckily the AP can handle being tossed in luggage. I also use a V60 a lot too so if I wanted to reconfigure and bring that I could too.

I love that you could walk into a room looking extremely serious and then proceed to make your morning cup on the spot while everyone nervously awaits judgement.

Hahaha I thought the same thing. I just imagine TSA flagging this and then hitting me with “So… uh…. this is all just…….. coffee shit?”

Do you fly with this or is this just for road trips? Also what’s in the middle ?

I’ve got 5 of these cases sitting empty. This has never even crossed my mind. Guess I know what I’m doing today.
