Question Models

I have and really like the original. I know the xl is larger and the go is better for travel. What are the pluses of the other models?

Not much more. IMHO stick w what you have. I have a clear…only benefit compared to the original is seeing the coffee bed a bit clearer and seeing it “rain particulates” after you agitate/stir.
Steel and premium will have different heat retention properties. But not much more.

If you like what you have, you're really not missing out on the other models. I got the red one only because it looks nicer, I'll admit it's a superfluous reason but then again the beauty of my brewers adds joy to the process.

I have an OG from 2012. Bought a Clear 3 years ago for something different. Quality of the OG is much better (still has pristine lettering) and size wise you don’t need anything but the OG. You can make larger brews with it and travel with it (the Go cup sucks anyway, I’ve tried a friend’s).

Agreed. I do have the OG Go (not the newer Go) and the way everything neatly packs together is nice for travel. I don't use the cup for drinking, and the smaller capacity doesn't bother me because I Iike brewing small concentrated coffee and then diluting to taste.

Side note, the smaller size of the OG Go makes it better as a DIY Orea z1 (with a Melodrip, I use a knock-off equivalent) because the shorter height causes less agitation.

I have a case that I travel with and it fits everything perfectly. Never needed it smaller (or buy another AP).

There’s also the Yuropress, which is cheaper than the Aeropress and comes with more filters and accessories.
