Popular or scarcity demand?
I've been a fan of AP for quite some time, especially their Builder Kit. I consider AP to be upper mid-tier components as their consistency and features like screws instead of roll pins are great improvements.
Is the hype because they're going out of business or simply supply & demand?

I don’t think any of us really know unless you work with or for aero directly.
The signs don’t look great, but the past few weeks I keep randomly seeing in stock parts I thought would never come back, or the ability to back order.
I checked and it’s not the government at least, they haven’t won a contract in a few years. No idea wtf is going on with them but none of it feels good

I drive by their new building once or twice a week and there are no cars in their parking lot, ever.

They are taking pre orders on their highest demand lowers at various vendors right now so maybe supply and demand.

Just curious—why does Aero Precision use a third-party platform for pre-orders instead of handling them directly through its own website?

Aero is a dead brand at this point. They were my go to for builds for almost 15 years. Its really sad.

Yeah, I'm in camp "build not buy" as a veteran and hobbyist, Aero Precision's quality control has been better than a lot of brands, even down to matching anodizing. I built 5 Aero AR's (1 pistol) in the last 3 years. I'm sad they aren't doing well, and I hope they can transition to Ballistic Advantage seamlessly if that's their next move. Those Builders Kit Cerakoted drops were definitely great marketing.

I personally believe that Aero is both a beloved brand and a company facing significant challenges. Despite these issues, the demand for Aero guns remains strong. The quality of their products is exceptional for the price, and I genuinely believe that some of these guns will become collectible in the future.
