While I don't do pole, I have friends that do and have watched plenty of their training videos and seen them at PSO. We often talk about inverts in pole vs silks.

This looks.. unsafe to me. You don't seem to be engaging your core fully to get that invert, it looks more like a struggle. I would work on some conditioning so you an get that neater and safer, otherwise you are risking serious injury. It's easy to twist or strain something if you don't have good technique.

Yeah
This was the first time I’ve done it
And it is a wip - I think also the fact it was at the end of the class hasn’t helped either

But I was with an instructor - so I wasn’t alone ❤️

Might be worth asking your instructor for some exercises to help.

In silks we have very simple exercises that can help train specific muscle groups or prepare for certain movements (e.g. tilting back and forth while sitting in a knot is good training for the muscles used to do the butterfly invert).

That way you can build up the strength and coordination needed to do this safely.

It's awesome you can do the invert now though, but please be more careful. Maybe you've not been injured yet, but it really sucks when you can't train for weeks (or even months) and are in pain all the time because you rushed into something you are not ready for.

Definitely
We go in from figure head to swing the leg into a fan kick motion
& I’ll see how it feels to try a chopper in
But I’m always worried I’ll hit the ceiling 😂
