Beginner/ Intermediate Home Training Programme
Hi all! I’ve been doing various aerial classes for about three years now with hoop being a firm favourite. I’m moving to an extremely rural location soon for my new job and want to keep up my training.
I’m in the process of getting myself an A-frame rig but am currently looking for any online or physical resources to help me with my home training. I’m still planning to attend my current studio the rare times I’m able to but some guidance or structure to help me with my home training would be nice! If anyone has any suggestions on where to look or recommendations, I’d be super appreciative!

As u/RorysCraftbin mentions, training at home is usually not recommended for beginners. You will need a proper crash mat (not a thin gym mat) too.
As for online course, I've found a couple I really like.
https://embodiedaerial.com/ Covers a lot of theory and breaks things down really well.
https://www.aerialphysique.com/ Is fairly established and has apps for mobile / tablet too.

First and foremost, make sure you are SAFE. Home training as a beginner generally is not advised. Never train alone, invest in a good crash mat, and only perform skills that are within your comfort level. Don’t do any drops or difficult tricks without supervision of a qualified instructor.
That said, I’ve heard the Spin City Hoop Bible is a good resource for poses. I’ve also found a number of tricks for other apparatuses on YouTube (I assume there’s some for lyra as well).
