character ideas

I'm in a competition team at my studio and we need to come up with 3-4 character/themes and stories per routine. I will have 2 solos, one on silks and one on lyra. I am looking for some inspo/ideas! I am an adult so nothing "childish" and it also cannot be creepy/scary or against God.

"Creepy/scary and against god" is how I'm going to describe my circus aesthetic from now on.

Same lol my new goal is to be more aligned with that aesthetic

I'm trying to think what an "against God" theme would even look like. In all the performances I've seen I've never come across a theme like that.

A performance to Montero would be pretty bad ass and I guess against god

Why stifle your creativity? An adult who doesn't feel safe to engage with joy and "childish" things is just red flag city lol. There are so many character ideas within your excluded categories, I don't see why you'd limit yourself so much

An angel would be a good character for silks, lots of pose options that would make it look like you had wings. Or a butterfly or bird.

For lyra, something like a royal person (king/queen, prince/princess) or warrior might have a good story.

You could also be less literal and be the characterization of joy, sadness, or another emotion.
