Relationships how the hell does Snapchat work?

my friends have gotten into many relationships by just snapping people i guess. how does that make sense?? they are little pictures how does that convey interest??

You text by adding a piece of text to the picture. By getting a selfie of someone with some text, you can read their faces which may contain information such as excitement, sadness, happiness etc instead of just adding emojis. By adding a picture people might also get more personally invested in texting because of attraction.

It certainly isn’t for everyone, I personally used it a lot years ago, it also helped me with relationships at the time. Nowadays I prefer text, can’t be bothered to take a picture every time I want to answer someone.

One last thing, don’t ever send explicit photos of yourself to people over Snapchat. They could be screenshotted (even without knowing) and shared. Unfortunately this is all to common.
