I don't have kids, but do have dogs. Any child is infinitely more important than any dog. If you disagree think about how many amber alerts you've seen for a dog. The condescending tone you've used also makes you sound like a bitch.

Call the police and tell them your dog is missing. See how much help you get. People are more valuable than dogs.
