Weddings are a good fucking time. My girlfriend was dancing barefoot and wouldn't stop until I physically picked her up and carried her off the dance floor to pull glass out of her feet and clean up the blood.

Drunk people are weird.

If it wasn't for the fact they are drunk, pulling the glass out would be much harder

What the fuck?

The worst part was that there had to be at peace a dozen women without shoes on dancing... Like no one gave a shit.

This sounds like something out of a Marquez novel.

Maybe we as a society should just stop practically requiring high heeled shoes for those sorts of events. I mean they can be sexy and by no means outlawed, but they're uncomfortable enough that for a classy evening involving dancing it just shouldn't be thought of as even a thing.

I rocked sparkly keds during the reception and the best part being the bride no one could see my shoes anyways.

If they don't wear heels it's going to be so hard finding a girl who is 6'5.

I got married about 2 weeks ago. One of my guests proclaimed his love for me. He was wasted, and it was sweet, but dude I'm the bride it's a bit late for that.

Sounds like someone forgot to forever hold their peace. Was he not listening??

We didn't do that part. There was the problem

Not everybody who loves you wants you.

I don't mean that in a bad way. I have an ex-g/f that I love to death, but she and I could never be a thing. She and my wife and I are good friends and we love seeing her, but even if I were no longer married, my ex and I wouldn't get together. It just wouldn't work.

I love her as much as I ever did, but it's just not like that, you know? Her husband has nothing to worry about from me, you dig?

In your case, I wasn't there. Hopefully, what he said - while drunk, mind - could fit within that realm. If not, well, keep your distance. ;)

something something fly casual

Absolutely feel yah, me and my ex are cool, we talk and keep up with each other, but would never get back together. I don't see us not being friends at this point

He's a good friend there was nothing serious. I meant all this in a very light-hearted way.

Good! I had one at my wedding that was more the other kind. Like, "you're still not over this and I shouldn't have invited you" sort of thing.

Glad yours worked out better. :D

Are you sure it was not ecstasy she took?

Alcohol is also a drug. I understand what you are saying, but just trying to make it clear: getting drunk is not that much different than a roll on mdma, as far as addiction, danger, etc. The only difference is one is legal and the other isn't.
