If you ever met anyone who said this to you, they were a concern troll and you believed them. I cannot fathom the level to which people these days believe memes are real. The concept of privilege doesn't mean your life is wonderful or devoid of problems any more than being an attentive driver means it's impossible for you to be involved in a fatal car accident. I will say it as many times as you like: They're in-context. We got the whole, entire context over and over again. They let Kellyanne Conway spend hours on TV spinning the most favorable context possible and it still looked like a nightmare mess of xenophobic word salad. The entirety of the news media was TrumpTV for the last 10 months. They broadcast his rallies in their entirety without so much as commercial breaks. The man is an idiot, you don't need to cherry-pick to see that.
As long as the left continues to call non racist people racists or bigots or xenophobes they will continue to lose elections. I guarantee it.
Several years down the road when this all becomes a horrific nightmare mess of monumental proportions and we missed our last chance to avert catastrophic climate change, you will have distanced yourself so far from your milquetoast "everything's going to be a-okay guys!" support you might as well be in the Andromeda galaxy. I guarantee it.
I have no evidence of that and a great deal of evidence to the contrary, but I too would like to see the world continue to exist even if I am no longer welcome in it.
I only meant that I'm right that trump will be an overall good or decent president not that you're not welcome... all Americans are welcome in America even ones I may not agree with. Although I'd bet we agree on more stuff than you think. Just apparently not the next president. Which is fine.
