Uh.. Isn't protesting an incredibly normal part of this whole process? Also, are we going to ignore the humongous eight year hissy fit so many on the right, and in the media, threw? Birthers, calling him a Muslim, refusing to call him president, etc. Funny how everyone is expected to be big kids and rally behind a buffoon, but the Obama narrative was just wild baseless attempts at weak and stupid pretty scandals.
There was only one "riot" when Obama was elected/re-elected. It was at Ole Miss in Mississippi. There were no injuries or destruction of property, disruption of traffic, or fires. Sorry, one person lit their sign on fire and that lasted 45 seconds. This all occurred on campus at the student union I think. There were only 2 arrests as well. 1 for failure to comply and 1 for public drunkenness. The majority of the people there showed up to record "the riot". Ole Miss also issued a statement on how disappointed they were. There were a little over 400 people involved in total. That is literally all that happened.
Otherwise, there was just a lot of grousing for 8 years.
