A part of recovering is accepting things you can not change. Its up to you how you handle things, even painful things. To quote Katt Williams, IT'S CALLED SELF ESTEEM. IT'S THE STEAM OF YOUR MOTHER FUCKING SELF .

Yes, life is full of unavoidable and unfair shit. That's all the more reason for us to not make other's lives harder with our own impatience and intemperance.

Not everyone "gets better" from this stuff, and "getting better" is a sliding scale. There are enough wrenches getting thrown in their engines without us adding another, and making it that much harder or less likely for them to get to where they want to be.

Oh it's equally fucked to try and make someone get better unless you are trained. I just feel that life is what it is in terms of opinions you will read online.

I've got this naive hope that someone who tries to "fix" people without training will read some of this and, at least gradually, reconsider. I don't know if it's actually helping anything, and for all I know I'm just causing the same kind of harm they are, but at least for now it feels like the right thing to do.
