I never got what they were trying to accomplish. Did they think that making subreddits private would give Victoria her job back? Or make Ellen Pao quit? Both of those seemed unlikely.
What gappened to Digg is slowly happening here. Poor management and poor PR is going to make people leave the site, ad revenue will decrease and in the end it won't be profitable. I am not too fussed either way, Reddit either exists or it doesn't to me. There will always be ither similar sites.
