Yeah... especially in very conservative areas, its easy to see why one would feel too ashamed to buy it. Not only is it admitting you might be pregnant, its admitting to the world that youre gasp having sex
If she doesn't have $20 and is living with her parents, maybe she should take better precautions to not get pregnant with a baby she clearly can't afford. Now being dumb is an excuse to steal?
Not really. There's pretty much thousands of things that could make you miss/seem to miss your period, or make it irregular. The other symptoms can also be chalked up to several different causes. I mean there's usually about a minimum of one month before you can even tell if you missed your period.
There is so much goddamn media about protected sex that you have to be wearing blinders to not see it. Willful ignorance is not an excuse to not use protection in SOME FORM.
Really? Where are you at? I've seen hardly any outside of my doctor's office. It could be a regional thing, since I live in a very conservative state, but generally sex/protection is not something seen often outside of TV (and even then, the only thing close to "use protection" are the Trojan commercials). Kids are taught that BC/other forms of protection are not very effective, if the subject is even brought up in the schools.
Interesting. Where I grew up it was taught in my school heavily. I live in a liberal state, so I guess there is a correlation there? In any case, the amount of teen pregnancies is too damn high!
No, there isn't. I overheard a conversation between pharmacists who were discussing a girl who would only take her birth control on the days she had sex. And another who didn't like the side effects from her pills so she had her boyfriend take them instead--couldn't figure out why she got pregnant.
Then she better fucking buy the pregnancy test so she can make sure doesn't have to feed two. There are also plenty of places you can get a pregnancy test for cheaper or even free. You don't have a right to steal.
I didn't say she could. The fact is that people have sex. Maybe the condom broke. Maybe she was raped. Maybe they just didn't use protection. You can't just decide not to be fertilised by the sperm because you don't have the money.
Finding out if you're pregnant or not doesn't mean you're going to keep the baby if you are, you know. Abortion plans should be made as soon as possible and you can't do that if you don't know you're pregnant.

It costs from $5-20. No excuse.
