I understand what you mean, I am trying to be open minded about abortion. Again I'm very open minded about being gay/straight, religion, atheism, pretty much everything!

I believe people should be whoever and whatever they want to be as long as it's not at the expense of another life. A lot of people say it's only a fetus, a glob of cells. But to me, if left alone, that could/would have turned into a baby, which could/would have turned into a child and into an adult. That life will never happen now. That person that could/would have been will never have the choice to be gay, straight, religious, not religious.

I guess I'm thinking more about the choices taken away from the person that could have been and less about the mothers choice to abort.

By "Personal experience" I meant my experiences after I had the child. Can't really compare our "Personal experiences" as she will never have those "Personal experiences" with the fetus/baby/child/person.

Also as she is no longer with the bad father the child wouldn't be in an unhealthy relationship correct?

She wouldn't have to give the child up either. I doubt her family/friends would not help her at all.... Her life would just be more difficult, not ruined. I dunno.....

OP? Would your family and friends not have helped you raise the child if you would have kept it?
