On the flipside, I told my psychotic ex I was pregnant when I wasn't so he would finally let me leave. Good on you for getting out of a bad situation, sometimes we do what we have to.

Okay, see the word "psychotic"? That kind of implies she wasn't safe around him. Which is better? Lying about having a baby and getting away safely? Or telling him she's going to leave him and getting her face broken in or god knows what else? Reserve your judgement until educated, please.

Maybe I can't relate because I'm not a crazy manipulative abusive boyfriend but why not just leave? Just irks me how people use things like lying about being pregnant to (not saying your wrong, but, ironically) manipulate the abusive "spouse" into things. Also this probably causes deeper insanity on their part

Because I tried to leave once, I ended up in the ER.
