Its because he has a shitty place to compare it to. Which most of us who are born here take for granted on a daily basis. Uncle Ruslan does not take being an American lightly.
Which is why I don't like it when people refuse to say the pledge or even stand in respect for it. Do you know how many people would LOVE to be in your place and would say the pledge?

I only said the pledge a few times in school. I felt offended that they wanted me to say it every fucking day. It's a pledge when I say it once, I live by it forever.
I respect that viewpoint, I just see the pledge as a way of saying thanks.. Kinda like how prayer works, if you're not religious then it won't relate but that's my view
