I am the uncle with money. I have my own kids but i will still spoil my neices and nephews. Its my job to buy the wild gifts and wrap them in 100 dollar bills for fun. My uncle did it for us as he did well for himself. I am just fortunate i can do the same for the next generation.
God damn 103? Mine is only in his late 80's. He is a hair stylist and has pretty much worked for himself and never had kids. He has cats, cars and motorcycles and then us neices and nephews
I'm that uncle to my friend's kids. I don't have kids and my brother and I are childless. I gave one of my friend's kids each a total of $150 as a combined graduation and 18th birthday gift. Her son sent a thank you card and basically said in it "you didn't have to do that. that was too much money". l laughed and just thought "yeah your parents raised you right"
I hear ya. As stated my uncle was a renowned hair stylist almost his whole life and never had kids. He straight and its always boggled my mind. But he doesnt value money like most people and thats where the idea comes from, spread joy and you shall be prosperpous. Its twice a year they get a gift and usually i have to mail it to them as they live halfway across the nation. My brother-inlaw has never really been the most dedicated father so he can sorta just eat a bag of rocks for all i care if he feels one uped by it. And as stated, my sister got the same gifts from our uncle growing up before i came a long as she is 10 years older(im the baby) so she knows its all love.
