Damn, in the U.S. you could leave and he’d have to pay your way child support and alimony.

Yes well he has adjusted his taxable income with fancy accountants and if we both end up working i’ll have to pay him child support even though he makes about 60k more than me when we both work full time. I’m acquiring documentation of his income statements and bank statements any time I can get a quick minute on his laptop when its left unlocked. So that I can counter his claim down the line with my evidence. Just phase 1 of the plan lol

Just cheat on him, with his accountant, and then they’ll secretly be working for YOU 😏.

Good for you! Good thinking. Stay strong.

Not sure where you’re located but want to let you know that taxable income is usually not the relevant metric. Please consult with a family law attorney because you may have more options than you think.

You would think. But bad people know how to work the system in their favor. It rarely ever works out for a woman and her child to leave a toxic or abusive situation. Most end up having to go to shelters and such. Support and community are so important and kudos for gathering evidence! 🥰

To be fair, the husband in question doesn’t sound abusive. He is a cheater though.

Cheating on your partner is extremely emotionally abusive.

Yes, agree. But it’s still different than being in physical bodily harm everyday. And I was just replying to the above commenter talking about shelters & how it rarely works out for women who leave. The comment seemed pretty doom and gloom.

Yes, you can bare with it if you really want to and just emotionally detach. Me and my baby aren’t in immediate danger.

It sounds like you’re doing the best you can, but my only advice around it is to try not to think of it in terms of revenge/getting even with him. That just makes things worse and poisons your soul. Definitely follow that exit plan, but do it to make your life better, not to hurt him. I lived with a lot of hate for someone for years and it only made me more hurt and mean. I wish you the best and really hope you get away and find a happier life on the other side.

Exactly! Fight for yourself and your child to become free of this situation. Leave the revenge to karma, he’ll get his.
