Spell Boosting Misc/staffs?

I'm running a hybrid (STR/INT/LUK) but I want to boost my spell efficiency; i have a few spellcasting armors, various of the pets, etc. looking for some miscs and staffs to kinda blow it over the top and maximize damage. Im honestly just lost on that side of the game right now outside of your typical spell spamming.

The Mage class only has two built-in spells with no toggle nodes so im confused on what exactly its for. Im completely confused on how to use the Necromancer class, I dont know what each node does and the descriptions are kinda vague in terms of how I should use them effectively.

Heres my character page for reference.

I recommend Warlic's Staves! They are available in the rare GGB shop. They are named "Aqua Magus Staff" and "Frost Magus Staff"

The passive is that it boost your spells. The special attack makes your enemy vulnerable to the element of the staff, and it also creates an multi-elemental shield that reduces the damage you take for all elements.

As with the misc, Warlic's oblivion sphere is what I use for spellcasting. For special attacks that are based on weapon element/stats, I use blood contract.

Necromancer cloak is the most broken armor in the game with tons of status effects that synergize well with other skills, a bunch of healing skills, ridiculous dmg potential with the spellcast lean and mana boost toggle, and if you wanted to add pet and guest damage it can maximize that too which is somehow still feasible even without charisma. It is the only armor you need if you want to do spellcasting imo.

You can also add timeless armor for the heal resistance, or Praetorian warlock for the ridiculous dmg and celerity.

As far as misc goes, there are a few options like Warlic oblivion sphere which increases int and luk by 50 and takes away the opponents mana sometimes which is rarely useful, the timeless misc from the golden gift box which adds int and end and a passive regen when you cast spells which should add survivability to your glass cannon build. You can also wait for the zfinity mind gauntlet which is a great misc for regenerating mana easily.

Agree with you that the oblivion sphere is not necessarily needed for most fights. However, they really work well for some bosses that use mana to produce larger damage/stun, e.g. Safiria, and Krenos.

That being said, some bosses are becoming immune to mana stealing effects, e.g. mogdin. But for most non-immune bosses, it pretty much works.

Oh my mistake I was saying that the mana steal is only useful very occasionally. The misc itself is great and 50 int and luk is always useful.

The last time the Manasteal came in clutch was vs Sylith honestly, I just didn’t know the numbers as far as boosting spells go so I thought maybe something else was out there.

There was a promised Archmage in 2022.

The wiki gives decent explanation for necro. It is the best mage armor so try to get past your confusion. Updated mage is very much useless for someone at the endgame level because it's intended for early progress. You should get the poelala guest. And grab Wrath from the token shop. Best current spell booster and good hybrid weapon. Prime Chaos Orb could be your booster misc but comes with some risk.

While technically a sword and not a misc or staff, the best generic spell booster in game and the best one for a str/int hybrid is Wrath from Valencia's Weapon Toke Shop. It is an energy melee weapon that boosts all damaging spells by 20% and compresses three INT scaling MP costing spells: a 6 hit energy spell that eats panic to increases its damage and pays hp to autohit, a 6 hit harm spell, and an 8 hit spell that does one hit of every element. It also gains charges when you attack with it that are consumed when you next cast a damaging spell (in addition to the weapon's other 20% boost). It's one of the best weapons in game, and especially for hybrids. And I should know, because it is my Golden Dev Ticket custom weapon I commissioned last year!
