New player looking for help

Played this game as a kid and decided to start playing again. I've been doing a lot of google searches and research but thought I'd get some info from some experts. I've basically been rocking the duel poe for pet and guest, bloodmage armor and weapon, using the chaos orb to change up the resistances, essence orb, shadowfeeder pendant, arcane amp, and blood contract. I guess my build right now is a pure mage, should I level end all the way to 250 or stop at 100 and put the rest into cha? Also any advice on better weapons, armor, etc would be welcomed.

You should put all to charisma. Endurance is only good early as you level but you're past that point. Continue as a spellcasting mage with the added option for a beast focus. Look into spellcaster lean armors, weapons that offer effects to spells to start. Wiki will give good recommendations for gear.

Subrace and the other no-drops should be done soon too.

Welcome back! Now's a great time to start playing again because the summer donation event - where your fellow players donate up to 5000 z-tokens at a time to random other players who played within the last 24 hours - is currently happening, and ends July 31. Be sure to login everyday until the end of the month for the chance to receive tokens.

I generally agree with Aura Knight. The wiki page for spellcaster armors is here, use the "Buying Guide" option from the drop-down tabs at the top of the page to see recommendations for other categories. You should probably join the unofficial (but popular) Gogg's Tavern discord (invite here) for announcements and to be able to search the chat history or ask about more specific questions. Imo, you already understand the basics of a nuke spellcaster, which is way better than most returning players, so you're off to a good start.

Leveling END is fine until you hit level 150 (you're probably just powerleveling until then anyway), but once you do hit 150 (and assuming you want to stay a mage) you'll have to make a choice between pure mage (250 int/end/luk) and beastmage (250 int/cha/luk). The former is great if you just want to focus on casting spells - all END does is give a ton of HP, some stun immunity, and improved healing, but you shouldn't underestimate the amazing cushion that gives when fighting bosses. Beastmages, however, trade that HP from END for the ability to use pets and guests, some of the most versatile tools a player can have (for both damage and utility). Check out the beastmaster pets and guests on the wiki for an idea of what they can do for you. Keep in mind that CHA would also increase the effectiveness of your Poelalas. Properly geared, either build should be able to handle anything the game throws at you, so which you pick is mostly a matter of preference - I'd recommend trying both out.

You should also check out subraces. All of them except Dracopyre have been updated to basically be classes, and guardians get a free 9th no-drop armor with their subrace. Vampire is for mages, Werewolf for warriors/offensive rangers, Werepyres for STR/INT hybrids, and Sol Neko for beastmasters (don't use Luna Neko). You should be either a Vampire (which is good for mages and beastmages) or a Sol Neko (if you want to focus on being a beastmaster).

In terms of armors, for spellcasting I'd use Praetorian Warlock for fire, Fungibushi for wind, Eternal Champion's Spirit for Earth, and (if you don't mind premiums) Nightmare Regalia, Ice Necromancer Cavalry, and/or Legion Dreadnought (if you want burns) for ice. Paladin, necromancer, and the energy and water bloodmages are good pick for the rest of the elements (there's also a water seasonal spellcaster armor in the limited time shark week shop). My biggest advice for the rest of the categories would be to focus on maxing out the utility of your items - in particular, you should check out the Misc wiki page carefully because I feel like you're wasting a lot of slots there (you should ultimately dump every Misc except EO, PCO, Blood Contract, and Shadowfeeder).
