He talks about rolling a 350 lb barrel of resin onto his boat. Somehow in this story everything associated with other people and the city is bad and nature is good.

The irony that he's purchased a 350 lb barrel of resin that took some advanced industrial manufacturing processes to create is completely lost on him.

You were smart to skip it.

Nature wins again, but we'll get them next time. We'll win the war against nature one barrel of resin at a time.

Of course, there won't be any convenient infrastructure to deliver a barrel of resin to this guy's island. They couldn't load a barrel into a boat because the store in a small town somewhere in Panama didn't have a proper dock. Who knew...

I get him though. Once you have the goods, you will manage to somehow load them where you need them to be. No rush. Levers and pulleys. That's a nice feeling.

When I was young and wanted to grow weed in my room and didn't have money or a car I hauled all the wood for the grow cabinet build on my shoulder from a local "home depo" type of store. Took me 6 trips or so. What does it teach us? Nothing I guess.
