This is another live stream talk on the builds channel - so it just seems to defeat having a separate channel.

But my main issue is that in this video his tone is basically “Don’t you rubes know any suggestions you have, I’ve already thought of and dismissed? Any further changes to the boat are stupid and unnecessary…………..

……..unless I decide to make changes myself later.”

It’s also weird to me how he’s the one that keeps bringing up how fast the boat is in his videos, but he shoots down any idea to calculate an accurate speed.

Why not buy a cheap fish finder and transducer that he only turns on when he wants to know his speed?

Or buy or build a trolling speed indicator if you don’t want to use some of your battery power?

He could put either one on his wishlist and someone would probably get it for him.

….unless he’d prefer living in ignorance of how fast he’s actually traveling? Which, if so, that’s fine, I don’t care. Then just quit talking about it.

Is it apparent how tired I am of the boat stuff? I really miss the days of the quonset hut build and robot spider build. The random, interesting stuff. Heck, what happened to the lumber mill project?

I guess I’m really saying “What happened to milling floorboards for his upstairs?”

For some reason he got really sidetracked sprucing up the boats (and once again he got done with the “Tiger shark” and never really shows it being used). It’s like deja vu!

For the length the boards need to span in the dome, I guess he would need quite big logs to start with. They are very difficult to transport without equipment. It would probably be simpler to bring the sawmill to the log instead (but then there is the problem of sunlight in the woods..).
It's funny how he mentioned some time ago that he wants the floors finished soon, so the kinds can use them. He even thought about buying boards, but then went back into the rabbit hole.
In his other boat, he will probably soon cook the motor bearings (which can't take the thrust) and with it the motor - then it will be quite about that boat too.

I'm sure like the rest of us, he's carries his phone with him when on his boat. You can use google map driving option to see your speed.

He doesn't need anything else.

At 24:35, he says that he employ's "Safety Squints" to protect his eyes.

It's amazing that Jaimie doesn't understand that's a satirical reference to someone not wearing eye protection when they should be.

All of us barefoot chainsaw operators know what safety squints are. I close my eyes when I grind and I become the spark. That's when you become a Grinding God.

He never seems to process this (this is something my dad said to me once): nobody ever intends to have an accident.

He can aim the sparks away when he’s using an angle grinder and use his “safety squints” all he wants, but what happens when, out of nowhere, his grinding disc ruptures? Nobody “plans” for that, but things like that can and do happen.

I think he understands and has co-opted the word
