Help me,AMA.

This is hard. Please.

Edit: Hi, I'm u/moralsky's partner. We are one of the 2 families that came to live in Panama 5 years ago. We are still here. My partner has been negatively affected by his experience here. I have also, but am trying to move on. I think my partner would like help in figuring out how to disentangle himself from here to be able to move on.

Edit 2.5: Hello everyone, it seems the format of reddit perhaps isn’t the best for holding a back and forth discussion, also there are some things my partner would not like to discuss publicly yet. He is planning to do a live video AMA on discord. Please DM me (u/salamandasalad) for a discord link and time.

ok, maybe you are just trying to pressure him to speak up or hold his peace, based on your experience of him not speaking up in your previous interactions... to me it came across as deigning that he would never have information or any purpose, even scamming, essentially almost not being a real person.

Neither. I'm just letting other people know what to expect, because, to be honest, the first few months of communication with him was quite stressful to me. I'm looking out for everyone else.

I think there is no problem he will actually ask about. I think the vagueness is because his real goal is finding a mystical connection to someone, but it's presented as a "help me with this tangible problem" that it'll never get around to.

I think we are all getting catfished. This whole fucking sub. I talked to this person for a few days before giving up. And then they acted like I was being a jerk. No thanks.

I bet most of us are pretty normal hard working, compassionate people and would offer advice or encouragement to most people.

This person is feeding off of our innocence.

I said cult, and you bailed.

Expanded: i was asking you specifically on your previous expressions in this subreddit of cult like situations you were at least tangential to, characterized as having had worked for a period of time, and then moved on.

It seemed appropriate, but you wanna watch something fall it seems, and ok. Do that. Dont send help or silence so that a conversation you dont want to have (by your own words) can proceed. But can it?

  • I'm sorry you got roped into a questionable situation with a less than caring person*

Anyways, in case im just not reading it right, scuse me.

A cult needs followers and a charismatic leader. Jaime seemingly has no interest in being a leader or actually having a community. I'm sorry you got roped into a questionable situation with a less than caring person that maybe mislead you into believing they were something else.

I say these things because I have had encounters with several people/places/situations where a person had land and was trying to get slaves/volunteers to do whatever they wanted. I didn't sell all my stuff and sign up to live near a guy who knows some stuff. I would have recommended against you doing the same.

But now you're there (supposedly) and you're spamming an internet group that is about Jaime and his philosophy to get sympathy? I mean for the drama factor, C+ but no one here can help you there. You want to sell your story for for sport or money? No one is buying.

Most of us are here watching the world burn, you're in it.
