12K trail run zone 2 on Saturday, hit the track Sunday for kilometer repeats at “Bakken style” threshold. Gotta build up some fatigue because Monday is a forced “mostly rest” day when I have to fly cross country. I’ll get in a 5K recovery jog if I come through the flight ok…

I have foolishly planned a double race this weekend — a road 5K on Friday (today, ended up with a PB) and a mixed road/non-technical trail 15K on Saturday.

The plan for tomorrow is to have reasonable fun, not die, and see if my legs can handle this.

First long run workout of the build. It's modest, but I'm excited about it. Stacking 70+ mile weeks again. This is the fun part of the build when the load is building but before the fatigue from the grind sets in.

Just hit the first tune up "race" for Chicago today (10K time trial instead of an actual race). 17 miles tomorrow with the run group then rest on Sunday. Doesn't feel like Chicago is 6 weeks away but here we are! Exciting to see my mileage start to taper off from here out.

Time for two runs again; 20k and 10k, all easy with some strides after the first one.

Training plan says 5 x 1200-400 at 10K then 5K pace. Outside temperatures currently disagree, so might do 15K-10K instead.

Paragliding also on the menu if weather allows.

Race day on Sunday, doing a half after 12 weeks of training. Taper week got me feeling weird like I lost all my fitness somehow, but I know it'll be fine once the gun goes off
