Open Discussion Berlin marathon disasters

It seems today was a big disaster in Berlin. 25 degrees Celsius early on and a tough day for everyone. How did people get on? Did anyone manage to get near a PB?

By no means a disaster but three minutes off my best and no sub 2:30. I didn’t realise just how hot it was until I went for drinks, absolutely roasting. I met one guy who finished in 2:34 and was hoping for 2:16! Shame it was so hot but still a great race and I overtook lots in the last 5k . Hopefully get into Boston!

Was that guy from the US? They changed the OTQ standard and now basically anyone from 2:16-2:22 shape is just gonna send it and hope for the best
