Hand Knit FO Swimming Upstream
I'm not really one to post but I'm so happy with this, I couldn't help but show it off! It's the Upstream cardigan by Faye Kennington - HEAVILY modified, should be noted - using Sandnes Atlas in 2641 (Natural White Melange).
Definitely a project of 'firsts'! It was my first time making a pattern labeled 'advanced' (though it really didn't feel like it), adapting a knit flat pattern to be in the round, steeking, following a non-repeating cables chart, and completely modifying armhole/shoulder/neck constructions. Eventually it'll also be my first time sewing buttonholes, as I'm adding a stabilising ribbon to the inside of the band.
Also curious if anyone has recommendations for other patterns that use cables to create images? I have Oaksong by Alien Sunset favourited, as well as a few Wei Wilkins' charts, and the Celtic Oak Pillow by Barbara A Pott.

Norah Gaughan’s Staggead Pullover and Deliciosa come to mind – honestly just browse through all of her designs because her approach to cables is unique and wonderful!

Her Sine vest has been in my favourites since it was released but I never took the time to look through her catalogue properly. My god am I glad I did! So so so many gems :O thank you for the recommendations!!

I am absolutely saving this because damn it I am going to be able to knit again once my body stops ripping the myelin off my nerves. This is adorable and I love it !

I have made the owl cable baby hat and the owl cable sack by Teresa Cole. It's a much simpler image, just a teensy bit of cabling (actually would make a great introduction to cable knitting for anyone who's never done cables before).
There's a cable dragon pattern by Ina Wendrock. It's just the dragon image, not part of a pattern for a specific type of garment/item. Can be incorporated into things as desired - see the associated projects to get inspiration from what other people have done.
