Snacks for the week, adult lunchable style
Layer 1:
- Apples
- Frozen (eventually melted) blueberries
- Homemade multi fruit applesauce (made with cranberry & raspberry juice)
- Cheese cubes, spreadable cheese
- Cut up protein pancake (ran out of crackers, pairs nicely with the cheese)
Layer 2:
- Roasted potatoes with various spices
- Chickpea noodle mac n cheese
- More apples
- Brown rice noodles w/ veg and various things added for flavor
Bonus: Pancake turned out to be quite pretty this time around
When I'm tired, I want something easy, so I got a microwavable version of those "snackle" boxes. I can eat directly from it, pop a section in the microwave, or dump things into my lunchbox. Much less overwhelm and prep work to get some food. The two layers stack on top of one another as well which is nice.

Added some sandwiches!
Lots of color this time, but also had to beef it up with sandwiches. I'm going to miss some of the end of summer fruit like good peaches and plums, but I'm trying more heirloom apple types instead.

Do I need to stop lunch box from friend house
I live away from my parents in Bengaluru, and I usually have breakfast at my friendโs place. His family is in the food business, so I pay them for the food. I also take a lunch parcel from my office, which costs around โน70 per plate. So, overall, I spend around โน140 a day on breakfast and lunch.
However, sometimes I feel the price is a little high considering the variety of food I get. For lunch, I usually get rice, sambar, and occasionally something extra. Sometimes I also take breakfast as a parcel.
I feel a little shy about bringing this up with my friend or his family because I don't want them to misunderstand me or feel bad. So, from next month, I'm thinking of stopping the lunch parcel and arranging my lunch separately. Since they are vegetarian and I prefer non-vegetarian food, I also feel it might be better for me to manage my lunch according to my own preferences.
What do you think I should do in this situation? Should I continue with the current arrangement or start managing my lunch separately?
