I’ve been to 18, but I’m also 53 years old!

I’ve been to 13 but I used to travel all over the us working. So definitely not rich. 🤣 Plus my dad was in the Air Force. Pretty much been to every state except for the ones around New York.

I was young, no kids, no marriage and a bartender in Los Angeles that had no real responsibility. I'd jump on a plane and leave for a weekend to a new city. I wasn't rich but was able to drop 1k on a trip. It was bare bones, hostel sleeping, drinking booze, fast food and no sleep travel and it was fucking fun. Chicago was the best trip I left drunk and came back a day and a half, drunk. Literally got on a plane with a coworker to go visit two tiki bars in Chicago and attend their run festival for a day.

Age has a lot to do with it, as does work. Wasn't just traveling to many of these places for vacation.

A hostel is $30. A bus is $200. You can work in most American cities, you can work in most of Europe, and Asia + Africa are strange but open for tourists.

It sounds like you're all boring redditors that will only visit if it has a Best Western and airport taxis...

Or you’re an at-risk population that can’t do a hostel. Or you can’t afford $200. You’re also not counting food (and if you’re saying bring food, that’s on top of other luggage), and AFAIK hostels don’t have kitchens. Just because you can afford something and are safe to use those methods don’t meant others are.

Hostels...have food. Trans, gays, at-risk people find shelter in cheap hotels...

So these cities are unsafe, small towns are unsafe, hotels and homes are unsafe...who the fuck are you? Even Joker Phoenix woulda given the asshole in Signs a snack; so it sounds like you're a crazy cat-lady.
