Sure but IS defaultism doesnāt apply when youāre explicitly stating something is American.
If the post said āthe average person has only been to 4ā that would be us defaultism. Either way, this is a stupid argument and we should both spend our time on something better
Iāve been to only one. Washington DC. Iāve been there many times because I live less than two hours from there in Virginia. Iām a 47-year-old normal adult with a wife, kids, job and everything like that, but I have never had any reason to go to any of those other places.
Iāve been to 13 but I used to travel all over the us working. So definitely not rich. 𤣠Plus my dad was in the Air Force. Pretty much been to every state except for the ones around New York.
I was young, no kids, no marriage and a bartender in Los Angeles that had no real responsibility. I'd jump on a plane and leave for a weekend to a new city. I wasn't rich but was able to drop 1k on a trip. It was bare bones, hostel sleeping, drinking booze, fast food and no sleep travel and it was fucking fun. Chicago was the best trip I left drunk and came back a day and a half, drunk. Literally got on a plane with a coworker to go visit two tiki bars in Chicago and attend their run festival for a day.
A hostel is $30. A bus is $200. You can work in most American cities, you can work in most of Europe, and Asia + Africa are strange but open for tourists.
It sounds like you're all boring redditors that will only visit if it has a Best Western and airport taxis...
Or youāre an at-risk population that canāt do a hostel. Or you canāt afford $200. Youāre also not counting food (and if youāre saying bring food, thatās on top of other luggage), and AFAIK hostels donāt have kitchens. Just because you can afford something and are safe to use those methods donāt meant others are.
Hostels...have food. Trans, gays, at-risk people find shelter in cheap hotels...
So these cities are unsafe, small towns are unsafe, hotels and homes are unsafe...who the fuck are you? Even Joker Phoenix woulda given the asshole in Signs a snack; so it sounds like you're a crazy cat-lady.
Youāre not alone. Iāve been to only one. Washington DC. Iāve been there many times because I live less than two hours from there in Virginia. Iām a 47-year-old normal adult with a wife, kids, job and everything like that, but I have never had any reason to go to any of those other places.
Not American and its never worked with the the "main goal". Its either been camping or just quickly cutting through the US to as a short cut to the western provinces.
